During the Baltimore Uprising resulting from the killing of the 25 year old Freddie Gray by the Baltimore Police, Congressman Elijah Cummings (D) representing the 7th District was present on the scene every night at curfew time inviting the protestors to comply and go home and avoid any conflict with the police.

Elijah E. Cummings, died earlier today Thursday October 17, 2019 in Baltimore of "complications concerning longstanding health challenges.”
